Curtain Fabric Quantity Calculator

Here's the breakdown of each part:

→  Track Width: Width of the curtain track or rod.
→  Fullness: This typically refers to the additional fabric needed for gathering or pleating the curtain for a fuller look.
→  Fabric Width: Width of the fabric used for the curtains.
→  Curtain Height: Height of the curtain from top to bottom.
→  Top & Bottom Hem: Combined height of the top and bottom hems of the curtain.
→  Quantity: Number of curtains required.

Step-by-step Evaluation:

1. Calculate the required fabric width per curtain -

→ Track Width×Fullness/Fabric Width
→ Multiply the Track Width by the Fullness factor to determine how much fabric is needed to achieve the desired fullness.
→ Divide this by the Fabric Width to determine how many widths of fabric are needed.

2. Apply the ROUNDUP function -

→ ROUNDUP(Track Width×Fullness/Fabric Width,0)
→ ROUNDUP ensures that even if the calculation results in a decimal, it rounds up to the nearest whole number, representing the number of fabric widths required.

3. Calculate the total fabric length -

→ (Curtain Height+Top & Bottom Hem)
→ Add the Curtain Height to the combined height of the top and bottom hems to determine the total length of fabric required per curtain.

4. Multiply by Quantity -

→ ROUNDUP(Track Width×Fullness/Fabric Width,0)×(Curtain Height+Top & Bottom Hem)×Quantity
→ Finally, multiply the rounded-up number of fabric widths by the total fabric length per curtain, and then by the number of curtains needed (Quantity), to get the total amount of fabric required for the project.
